My opinion on the book kept going from yes to eh。 Back and forth as I continued to read。 I love the morality of the fact that no ones life is perfect。 Katie and her boss’ relationship was so well written。 However I found Katie so angry and immature。 And that really bothered me。 Sometimes you just couldn’t root for her。 I also hate that the author had to include romance。 I love romance but this book was about Katie and her boss。 Why did romance need to be thrown in？！

It was really basic and uneventful。 If you need to book in a pinch， it’s fine to read but you can predict everything that happens。 There isn’t any stand out writing or a love interest that really pulls you in。 I like that it was more of a focus on her discovering herself versus being caught up with a guy， but again even that wasn’t all that interesting。

I actually found myself really enjoying this one because of the character growth and the friendship formed！ I loved that the misunderstanding between the MC and her ex-boss stood as a lesson for the both of them and the twist was a fun add on。This book felt like a book about perception， friendship， family， and judgment。 I loved that aspect！ What I found kind of random was the romance。 It didn’t really have much of a leg to stand on and didn’t really make sense。 It was very sudden and felt almost I actually found myself really enjoying this one because of the character growth and the friendship formed！ I loved that the misunderstanding between the MC and her ex-boss stood as a lesson for the both of them and the twist was a fun add on。This book felt like a book about perception， friendship， family， and judgment。 I loved that aspect！ What I found kind of random was the romance。 It didn’t really have much of a leg to stand on and didn’t really make sense。 It was very sudden and felt almost thrown in there as a reminder that a Kinsella books needs a love interest。 I’m a huge fan of the romance in books， but this one didn’t convince me。 Read this for the connection between people and the growth of various characters， not for the romance。 Happy reading！ 。。。more

this was a pretty good book！ first time reading Kinsella’s books & they’re pretty sub-par。 didn’t hate it， didn’t love it ✨ this book follows a girl named Katie and she has the career that I want in the future so it was fun to see how people work in marketing！ loved all the chapters in Somerset and also loved the multi faceted characters in this book， my favorites being Demeter， Katie’s step mom， and of course Alex！！ i want to go to Katie’s farm soo bad and I feel like this book touched on a lot this was a pretty good book！ first time reading Kinsella’s books & they’re pretty sub-par。 didn’t hate it， didn’t love it ✨ this book follows a girl named Katie and she has the career that I want in the future so it was fun to see how people work in marketing！ loved all the chapters in Somerset and also loved the multi faceted characters in this book， my favorites being Demeter， Katie’s step mom， and of course Alex！！ i want to go to Katie’s farm soo bad and I feel like this book touched on a lot of social media issues and stuff which is cool 😁 made me laugh at times but also had some sad moments which was amazinggg！ honestly you should check this book out if you’re looking for something pretty light and cute 🥰 。。。more

3。5 stars！ I had a lot of fun listening to this audiobook。 The characters are all very entertaining and the book made me laugh out loud。 That said， most plot points in the back half felt contrived。
